Job Description:
The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and integrating applications using Golang. This role supports a program requiring robust integration between Golang development and Linux operating systems, with a strong focus on cybersecurity measures. The applicant will be part of a team supporting the infrastructure and automation for multiple programs. This position also necessitates an active Secret Security Clearance and an 8570 IAT Level II Certification. Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor junior developers are also important for this role.
Basic Qualifications:
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Active 8570 IAT Level II Certification (i.e. CompTIA Security +)
- For a level 3 : 5 Years with bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), 2 years Master's or additional years experience in lieu of a degree
- For a level 4: 8 years with bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), 6 years Master's or additional years experience in lieu of a degree
- Proficient with the Linux operating system
- Strong understanding of Golang syntax, structures, and idioms.
- Understanding of basic data structures (arrays, slices, maps) and algorithms.
- Proficiency in Golang's error handling conventions.
- Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of writing unit tests and integration tests in Golang
- Best practices for security Golang applications
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expert in Linux operating systems
- Ansible automation experience including YAML / Playbook creation
- Understanding how to build and deploy Go applications across different platforms.
- Understanding of microservices principles and how to implement them in Go.
- Experience with gRPC and protobuf (or similar)
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, RKE2).
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor junior developers.

Primary Level Salary Range: $115,800.00 - $173,800.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $144,000.00 - $216,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
