The Medical Reviewer Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating clinical improvement activities, ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting improved health care outcomes.
Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide advice, assistance and support to staff across the hospital to audit clinical practice against national and international standards, guidelines, best practice statements, local policies, patient feedback and/or staff concerns.
Design, direct, coordinates and oversee implementation of clinical improvement programs with the guidance of the Head of department.
Duties include design of audit tools, improvement measures, writing questionnaires, sampling methodology, data collection, data analysis, and report writing.
Identify what data are required to support each audit and use a variety of techniques for collecting that data.
Monitor data quality ensuring accuracy, consistency and completeness, giving feedback to the Head where appropriate.
Design, create and maintain Microsoft Excel spreadsheets containing audit data.
Undertake validation of audit data and investigate any inconsistencies.
Analyze data from several different sources, considering what would be most appropriate, depending on the audit requirements, and undertake this analysis using Microsoft Excel.
Decide on an appropriate report format, and write timely and informative report in a manner suitable for audience and purpose.
Provide support, guidance, advice and training to clinical and non-clinical staff collecting audit data regarding audit tools, questionnaires, data input, data analysis and reporting.
Participate in ongoing development of clinical data repository and dashboard reporting.
Participate in monthly or quarterly Clinical Committee meetings and perform requested follow-up duties.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.

QualificationsEducation:
BS Degree in Healthcare related field (Medicine, Nursing or paramedical specialties).
Master's Degree or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in a similar position in a healthcare facility, or three (3) years recent experience working in a managerial role.
Experience in healthcare industry preferable in large scale hospital.
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to organize and coordinate groups across the organization.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under deadlines.
Ability to collect and organize data.
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
Ability to deal effectively with a variety of people and work in a team environment.
Ability to prepare informative and accurate reports on program progress.
