About the team you are joiningIATA Corporate Services (CS) encompasses Corporate Finance, Treasury and Tax, FP&A, Global Finance Operations, Corporate Risk and Compliance, Corporate Administration, and Procurement activities. Join our Corporate Services division to help build the next-generation Finance organization for IATA. The ambition that we have set ourselves as a division is to "Be the trusted proactive partner, providing data-driven and AI-enabled corporate services for the business, while upholding the highest fiduciary standards." Reporting to the Regional Head of Corporate Service, Asia Pacific, the incumbent will be responsible for financial planning and reporting, assisting in overseeing business, financial control, and IATA Settlement System (ISS) financial compliance matters, and financial accounting within Global Finance Operations (GFO) in Asia Pacific. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and directly support senior management whilst assisting the RHCS.
What your day would be likeThe Senior Manager, FP&A and Finance leads a team of three and oversees the Finance, Accounts Receivable, and FP&A functions which includes ISS compliance review. In this role, you will lead and drive the following key activities:
- Lead the regional and ISS operational and project budgeting and forecasting processes, support business planning, and track and monitor regional headcounts.
- Prepare financial and performance reports for ISS, regional, and commercial activities.
- Provide expert and ad hoc financial analysis and support for business cases and project evaluations.
- Drive regional target setting, monitoring, and validation, and support regional management in achieving financial and business objectives.
- Collaborate with Business Data & Analytics peers within Corporate Services to ensure the division's and region's data & analytics needs are met.
- Report on and support ISS financial compliance activities.
- Oversee accounts receivable, fixed assets management and financial accounting activities, including month-end and year-end closing processes, and manage internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with the Financial Policy Manual (FPM) and Finance and ISS review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Cashflow management & working capital optimization inflow forecasts.
- Support the RHCS in driving ad hoc GFO projects across regions.
- Provide leadership, training, guidance, and developmental opportunities to staff.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Finance Business Process to lead digital transformation initiatives and drive continuous improvement through intelligent automation and AI-powered financial insights with global and regional stakeholders.
- Support the ERP transformation initiative (BORA) by ensuring business process requirements are accurately captured and reflected in the system's technical architecture (where applicable).
- Perform any other ad hoc tasks assigned by the Regional Head of Corporate Services, Asia Pacific.
- You have a university degree in a relevant discipline; a finance/professional accounting qualification is essential.
- At least ten years of experience in financial accounting, business analysis, and financial control functions, gained in a multinational organization.
- Proficiency in tools like Power BI and the ability to deliver data-driven, forward-looking analysis. Tec-savvy mindset, with experience in bringing data & analysis at the forefront of the function.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and experience with ERP migrations is a distinct asset.
- Experience leading finance teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Strong people management skills, with the ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, and comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
- The ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse cultures and varying levels of seniority across the region.
