Overview

Director - Legal for Asset Management at Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) will play a pivotal role in shaping the legal framework of our operating companies as we develop Qiddiya City into a premier entertainment destination. The successful candidate will lead the legal aspects of operational company formation strategy, ensuring compliance, risk management, and the formulation of legal structures that support our operational goals.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts related to operational company setups, including joint ventures, partnerships, and management agreements
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive legal strategy for the establishment of the operating companies within Qiddiya
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of legal strategies with business objectives
  • Provide legal guidance on regulatory and compliance issues as they relate to asset management operations
  • Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring a robust framework for compliance
  • Oversee the management of external legal counsel as needed, ensuring effective execution of legal services
  • Stay abreast of legal developments that may impact the asset management and entertainment sectors in the MENA region
  • Prepare legal documentation and reports for the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors
  • Conduct training for internal teams on legal and compliance matters relevant to asset management
Requirements
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification
  • Licensed to practice law in relevant jurisdictions
  • Professional Certifications:
  • Membership in relevant bar associations or legal organizations
  • Years of Experience:
  • 10+ years of legal experience with a focus on corporate law and operational setups
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership role within a corporate structure
  • Experience in company formation within real estate sectors is preferred
  • Experience working in international environments, particularly within the MENA region, is an asset
